Holy Spirit In Us Power Part B

The Holy Spirit's work in our lives is ongoing. In this message we draw from the timeless story of rebuilding the 2nd temple in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile of 70 years. Through the lives of Zerubbabel (Governor) and Joshua (High Priest), we see an interesting parallel to our own spiritual journey. Just as they faced opposition, disappointment and delays - we too encounter obstacles in building our spiritual lives. What God said through the prophet Zechariah, it's not by our might or power, but by God's Spirit that we triumph! We are living temples of the Holy Spirit. Are we allowing Him to continually rebuild, restore, replace - rehab and refine us on the foundation He has laid? The challenge is to recognize the delays and distractions in our lives and refocus on what truly matters - seeking first the Kingdom of God. As we do - God promises to "level the mountains" - before us, providing both His peace and power for the journey ahead.
