Our Story

How it all started...

HOPE (a new church plant) is a non-denominational Christian Church - with deep roots here in the Hudson Valley. HOPE  is an 'offshoot' - of the original Newburgh Christian Community church, begun over fifty years ago. HOPE was planted just as the coronavirus pandemic of 2019 began. Launched during a time of great  upheaval, stress and uncertainty,  we found many that felt the same way we did ... wondering  (what in the world?) searching for answers - and turning to God (in the person of Jesus Christ) for solid footing and truth.

We began meeting on Zoom - for Sunday service and our weekday Bible Studies and Prayer. - A beautiful door opened to us to meet weekly at the Homewood Suites, Stewart International Airport, New Windsor, NY - Today we continue to grow and are blessed to be meeting at the Trinity U.M.C.  Community Center - 1 Owens Rd. (at the intersection of Fostertown Rd.) in the Town of Newburgh. We have trusted God and His leading - from the start - in this exciting journey of Faith - Hope and Love ... and invite you to join with us! All are welcome! - Parents - we have an awesome Children's Sunday School program - called Hope Kids! HOPE church meets - Sunday's at 10am  - in a relaxed - fun and casual atmosphere. The coffee is always on and jeans are welcome!

Expanding the vision...

HOPE seeks to share the Faith - Hope and Love of Jesus Christ in all that we do -  that everyone we meet would know salvation in Him too.
Matthew 9:38 ~ "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Where we are headed...

"Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour." - Matthew 25:13
Our Mission  therefore is the Great Commission of Jesus Christ -
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, " ~ Matthew 28:19
Carried Out In The Love and Humility of Jesus Christ!
"Let your gentle [spirit] be known to all men. The Lord is near." ~ Philippians   4:5
